Jordan - Gray & Associates is an independent insurance agency established in Oklahoma City. A niche agency founded and managed by Michael Gray and Steve Jordan, comprised of experienced professionals that are highly motivated and passionate about the progression of insurance brokering and risk management practices. By building a team of experienced young professionals, we’re able to offer a level of quantitative and qualitative customer service rarely seen, and longevity and consistency unmatched by competitors.

We’re able to accomplish these results by analyzing the inherent risks of each client, then applying the proper risk management and or insurance solutions allowing our clients the ability to achieve operation excellence.

The Jordan - Gray team brings a specialized set of industry knowledge, risk management and insurance brokering capabilities to the energy, transportation, construction and real estate/hospitality industries. Our expertise in these core industries does not end at the risk management and brokering level; the Jordan - Gray team has been involved in virtually every type of loss scenario, whether as an insurance broker, risk advisor or third-party consultant. Our Team

Steve Jordan 

President and CEO

A 1978 graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Steve started his professional career in Dallas, Texas. He joined Commercial Union Insurance Company in November of 1979 as an underwriter trainee. Steve worked in the commercial property underwriting division before being transferred to Boston, Massachusetts to work in their casualty underwriting department. Shortly after, CUIC relocated him to San Antonio, Texas to be a commercial casualty underwriter. Steve underwrote commercial risks in the south Texas area until being promoted to commercial lines marketing representative in 1982. In 1983 he received the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation and later that year received his NASD securities license.

In 1984 Steve met and married Cynthia Caldarello in San Antonio, Texas and moved back to Ardmore to join his father in the insurance agency business. They have three sons Dillon, Luke and Tucker. He purchased Jordan-Snodgrass from his father in 1987. Steve later purchased what is now the Jordan-Hoefer Agency in Durant, Oklahoma in 1992. Other acquisitions included the Commercial Insurance Agency in Ardmore, Oklahoma in 1993.

Steve’s experience and background is in designing commercial insurance programs for businesses. An experienced insurance broker, his underwriting background is instrumental in his ability to identify business risks and the risk management and insurance products needed to successfully transfer those risks.

Steve enjoys traveling with his wife, golf, skiing, reading and volunteering within his community. Steve is the past president of the Southern Oklahoma Ambulance Service, Ardmore Salvation Army and Dornick Hills Country Club boards. In addition he is a current trustee of the Ardmore Development Authority.

Michael Gray, CIC 

Chief Operating Officer

Born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma. Michael is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. Michael started his professional career in New York as a fixed-income analyst and after two years in the financial industry, made the transition to Risk Management and Insurance Broking. Prior to starting Jordan-Gray & Associates with Steve, Michael developed his skillset within the industry working for Insurica and Arthur J. Gallagher. Over the past five years Michael has led  Jordan - Gray & Associates, Inc from start up phase to an established agency with meaningful market share in each of our niche sectors. With average year over year growth of nineteen percent, Michael and team continue to grow the agency's revenue stream while maintaining best in class client service standards. 

Michael specializes in delivering risk management and financial risk transfer solutions to a wide variety of clients in a multitude of industries including energy, construction, transportation and real estate. He has international experience insuring large property and casualty risks in North and South America, Europe and South Asia. He has extensive experience managing and negotiating large property and casualty claims both in domestic and European insurance markets.  His financial background has helped develop and create innovative solutions for transferring risk. 

As the COO of Jordan-Gray, Michael’s responsible for managing the day to day operations at the Oklahoma City location and risk management and broking duties for key accounts. 

Michael is an active member of the Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma sitting on the Membership Committee and the Future Leaders Advisory Council. His hobbies include, skiing, fishing, and traveling with his wife, Elizabeth. Elizabeth and Michael live in Oklahoma City with their son JD and dog Norman.

Dillon Jordan

Vice President

Dillon was born and raised in Ardmore, Oklahoma. A graduate of Ardmore High School and The University of Oklahoma, Dillon began his professional career in the oil and gas industry in 2010. From 2010 to 2013 Dillon worked in Land Management and pipeline right-of-way, until he was presented an executive role working in the family business, Jordan Insurance Group. Now Vice President of both Jordan Insurance Group and Jordan-Gray and Associates, Inc., Dillon is a proud third-generation family business owner. Dillon’s father “returned home” to work with his father in 1985, a business started by Dillon’s grandfather (and grandfather’s partner) in 1956. As rare as family businesses are these days, Dillon is excited to return home and learn from his father. Dillon enjoys his opportunities to meet new people and deliver meaningful insurance solutions which defines his passion for the industry. A member of the OIPA Future Leaders and The First Methodist Church of Ardmore, Dillon is an avid golfer and has been playing since the age of 3. He enjoys hunting, fishing and attending live sporting events. He is married to Carlie Jordan and has two children, Heidi and Brooks.
